This policy explains what data Clash collects, why, and what you can do about it.
Account data. When you sign in with LinkedIn, we receive your name, headline, profile photo, and public profile URL.
Content. Theses, posts, votes, and other content you submit to the Service.
Usage data. Pages visited, actions taken, device and browser info, IP address, and timestamps.
We rely on (a) the contract to deliver the Service, (b) our legitimate interest in running and improving Clash, and (c) your consent for optional features.
Other Clash users see the content you publish (theses, posts, public profile fields). We share data with vendors who help us operate the Service — hosting, email, analytics — under contracts that require them to protect it. We do not sell your personal data.
Theses, posts, and matchup content are processed by large language models to generate ratings and Clash outputs. Prompts and responses are stored for debugging and quality review.
We keep your account and content while your account is active. After deletion, we may retain limited records for legal, audit, or abuse-prevention purposes.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data through our contact form. EEA/UK and California residents have additional rights under GDPR/CCPA, including the right to object to processing.
We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences. Analytics cookies are used to measure usage in aggregate.
We use industry-standard safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure. Report security issues through our contact form.
Clash is hosted on infrastructure in the United States and the European Union. By using the Service you understand your data may be processed in those regions.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced via the Service or by email.
